Ever encounter some ugliness that causes you to do a double-take out of confusion? It happens the best of us. Please know it has nothing to do with you.
If you're at the receiving end of someone's hate, it's because they subconsciously hate themselves. If you've been disrespected by someone, it's because they don't respect themselves.
Often, people will (subconsciously) outwardly project exactly how they feel internally. It is abuse. However, if you can recognize that only someone who is deeply conflicted and hurting inside will act in such a manner, it's easier to have compassion for them.
It's not always easy in the heat of the moment to see with such clarity. But know that no one who loved and accepted themselves unconditionally would dare think of hurting another. Only because they are in a world of hurt are they behaving this way.
Because we're all One, it's easy to understand when any of us are in pain, we are all in pain. So even though they disrespected and were ugly toward you, know that's how they feel about themselves, whether or not they are aware of it, and try to have compassion for someone who is hurting. It doesn't feel good in their body to behave this way.
At the end of the day, we're all the same, and we're all in this together. If you're met with ugliness, do not respond in kind. Transmute that ugliness with your love and do your part to make this world a better place. After all, that's why you're here! ❤️
